The multi-function semitrailer-container chassis S.CF24G 45' Sliding Bogie was developed to meet market requirement for improved flexibility and improved driver safety while still conforming to legal requirements. The slider enables the safe transport of heavy 20' containers. In the driving position, the 20 container is positioned in front of the final axle and ensures therefore that there is the required semitrailer pressure. In the loading position, the 20' container is flush with the rear (bogie retracted) and can be loaded or unloaded quickly at a ramp.

Centre container locking mechanism as “KLAPP LOCK” locking mechanism for carrying 2x20’ front container, lowerable for transporting High Cube containers. Rear container locking mechanism as “STEP LOCK” locking mechanism, with height adjusting facility, for carrying High Cube and ISO containers. Five additional container bars with standard locking mechanism. Smooth-running, springily mounted on roller bearings, mechanical front extension with mechanical locking mechanism. Pneumatic rear extension, smooth-running, with automatic, pneumatic locking mechanism. Both extensions have bolted connections and are therefore easy to repair.

With one chassis made from top quality steel (QSTE), equipped with 2 longitudinal bars (with double bridge at rear), these 3-axis semitrailer container chassis are extremely robust and perfectly suitable for everyday use. The STEP LOCK and FOLDING LOCK locking mechanisms (Schmitz-Gotha patent) can be used for carrying any of the popular container types (2x20', 1x20' central (max. 30t gross container weight), 1x30', 40' High Cube and 40' ISO). All lock components are hot galvanized, providing the best possible corrosion protection.
